Reblogged from Mike Mullin, Author:
I have this problem.
I have this problem.

One buys more bookshelves. And then a bigger house. (Speaking from personal experience, that is.)

Reckless - Skye Jordan I'm really between a 3 and 3.5 for this one.
It's indeed really awesome, and oh so hot.

description

I loved the story and the characters.
But, I did find that the book lacked of content in the story line. 85% of this book was sex.
And I mean I do love sex scenes, but I can't completely enjoy a book if it's only that, and not much else.
I need to get involved with the characters, grow fond of them, want them together for ever.
Which did actually happen in this book, but not a lot. I really would have loved to get more pages, with them being together not only in a sexual relationship.

And there was no epilogue, which is something I always look forward to. It's what makes the ending beautiful, knowing they got a HEA that lasts. So that kind of sucked.

But I still think it's a book worth reading, just that it could have been longer, without the story being used too much.
Own the Wind - Kristen Ashley 3.5 Stars

Don't know why, but I don't find there's much to be said about this one.

I did like this book, but the only thing was that compared to her other books, not much drama happened in this one.
There wasn't really a moment you thought something bad could really happen, and that's what I always look forward to in KA's books.

So I'm a bit disappointed, but it's probably just because I have something to compare it to.
If I read it without knowing how KA's other books are more awesome, I probably would have given it 4 stars.

Another thing I didn't like, there is per say an epilogue, but it's not long after what happens in the book.
I would have liked to get a glimpse in their future like, in 5 or 10 years.
But whatever, maybe that's just me.
Motorcycle Man (Dream Man, #4) - Kristen Ashley 5 Roller Coaster Stars!

Holy Mother of Biker dudes. That was one hot, hot man.
This book deserves exactly the rating it has and nothing less.
Anyone that gave this book less than 4 stars I do not understand.

description

Tack is a beautiful, dangerous, loving person, and a man that I seriously want to bang.
I mean, he was just so. Fucking. Perfect.
He's this big biker dude that everyone fears, but he's also the sweetest guy that says the most amazing things to Tyra.

“Bottom line, no one fucks with my woman.”

description

And Tyra baby. So many girls in books I don't like. But I didn't like you, no. I freaking loved you.
She loves him, stands up to him, and gets her sass in his face, which I really thought was awesome.
And you know, even thought she kept wanting to leave him when something happened, I forgave her. Cause she remembered her place the moment Tack talked to her.
And not only Tack was funny and sweet, she was just as much, even though she said stuff less often than him.

“The perfect I was looking for wasn’t perfection. The perfect I was looking for was the one. And he was you.”

description

I also loved Tack's kids. I can't wait to go and read Tabitha's Story, she's next in line to my TBR list.
So if you haven't read Motorcycle Man yet, It's only 4$, so do yourself a favour, and buy it. Like, now.

Law Man (Dream Man, #3) - Kristen Ashley 4 Got Out of the Cocoon Stars

So this book had different ratings for me.
The first half of this book was a huge, solid brick wall 5 stars.
But the rest of the book, (excluding the ending), was a 3.
So to round it all up I decided to go with giving it 4 stars.

Each and every time I read a KA book, I fall even more in love with her writing.
Each and every time I start one of her books, I think I'm gonna read something I've read before, but I never do.
And this one was no different.

description

You know me (or don't), can't say no to a story where the girl has no confidence and the guy gets her to see her true self. Well this was that book.
The beginning was awesome.
Girl think she's so low, and he's so high in her esteem, that they could never be together. But of course he proves her wrong.

And then there's the hero.
Mitch, Mitch, Mitch. You are indeed a Dream Man. I loved you from the beginning of this book, right to the last sentence.
You just never gave up, and that's what we all like to see a man do in a book. Never give up on someone you love.

“Let's see if I can tear that cocoon wide open and let my Mara fly.”

description

Mara, I loved you at the start you poor fragile thing, but then you started to annoy the shit out of me.
Never getting a full sentence out, and I swear to god, if you said one more "um" I was gonna hit you in the face.
But I got over it, and fortunately, you didn't ruin the book for me.

description

This book made me laugh, feel sad, and fall in love. Which is something not all books can do.
And let's be honest, not only Mitch made me laugh.

Shit, but you can fuckin' kiss, he whispered in my ear. He was wrong; he did all the good stuff. I was just an avid participant in the festivities."

Read this book if you haven't, it's worth it.
Price of a Kiss - Linda Kage I have mixed feelings for this book.
Some parts I really, really loved, and others I hated to a point I just wanted to stop reading.
Conflict of emotions.

description

This book, (for the parts that I liked) was awesome. You totally root for the characters, and fall in love with them.
The problem with it is that something happened (which I cannot say because it's a too big spoiler) and it ruined the book for me.
I could not believe he did what he did, even thought he thought he was doing it for her.
I think this book would have been a 4 stars for me if that part didn't happen in the book, but I just can't get over it. I wish I could, but I can't.

description

So I do understand people who really enjoyed this book, because yes it was very good, but I don't know how they accepted a certain scene in it.
Lick - Kylie Scott 3 Stars

Sooooooooo, yeah.
I'm kind of disappointed by this book. Maybe it's because my expectations were too high; because of all the great reviews.

image

The story was actually good overall, something I've read before, but still ok. What made this book not be a 4 or 5 stars are only a few details, but those details were really huge for me.
The characters were cute, I did want them to end up together, and the author did write quite well.

"His face … I'd never seen such a fierce, determined expression. It went well beyond lust and closer toward being what I needed from him."

The thing is, the length of this story is what bothered me most. Not the number of pages, but the story itself. Everything that happened, happened quickly. They love, they fight, they reconcile in no time.
And I mean, I know they say love can happen at first sight and all, but I did not like that she was madly in love with him only after a few days.
The second thing that annoyed me was when they left each other. Really? REALLY! She leaves. You don't stop her, nor explain.
And you give yourself the right to afterwards be mad at her for leaving. After what you did? And oh wait. The best part of this was of course that she agreed that he had a right to be mad that she left. No. You. Do. Not. Shushh. No.

description

This was an alright book, but not something I would read again.
The Sweetest Thing - Jill Shalvis 3.5 Stars

Don't quite know what to say about this one.
It was a good enough story, but I felt like nothing really happened in it.
I wish that at least a bit of drama would of happened to get us more into the book, but it was just smooth all along.

description
Infraction - K.I. Lynn This series is really, really good.
I mean, I just love to read their story, and hope for the best.
Nathan is struggling with a lot of guilt in this one, and even if he is, he still tries to show Lila that he truly loves her.

"You've changed my world. I'm altered, no longer stuck in purgatory."

After what happened to Lila in the last book, she finds it hard to let Nathan back in, but seeing them struggle, and being tormented by it is what made the book really good.
Being in love isn't always something that's easy, and in this book we get to see it.

I can't wait for the next book to come out now, because I really, REALLY want them to have their HEA.

description
Dissolution (Breach, #1.5) - K.I. Lynn God, I just love to read books in the guy's perspective.
And this one was really heartbreaking to read.
I can't believe how short it was, but it was still really good.
Untouchable (Untouchable, #1) - Lindsay Delagair Wow, this book was something.
This story was different from what I usually read, and I really wasn't disappointed.
I did think that it was a little dragged out, but I really enjoyed it.

description

Derek (Resisting Love, #4) - Dawn Martens God, this needs to come out already!
But until then..

description

Edit

So, I have finally got the chance to read this book, and it was a-ma-zing.

description

I seriously have no idea how these books keep getting better, and better.
I'm really torn with this one, because I want to say it was my favourite in the series, but Chase is still my baby.

In this book, we're dealing with a girl that has had a horrible past, and tries to get ahead of it all.
And Derek is the most wonderful person in this book.
He's attentive, patient, understanding, loving, and I want to hug him, and kiss him.

Easy - Tammara Webber 3.5 Stars

This book wasn't exactly what I expected.
I think I probably had too high expectations for this book because of all the ratings.
It was a good story, but I think it could have been better.
Lana - R.K. Lilley This book was lovely, and I new this was a novella, but goddam was that short.

description

I mean their story was awesome, but there was just so much possibility to develop the storyline and the characters more that it was sad to see it move all so fast.

description

Oh well, I shall live.
The story was still good, it just moved very fast.
Bad Things (Tristan & Danika, #1) - R.K. Lilley 3.5 stars

Oookay, so this book wasn't exactly what I was expecting..

This book was really good, yes,
BUT after reading the 'Up in the air' series, I just feel like I expected more of this.
Not in the sense that I wanted it to be better, but from what I've read in the other series, I just thought I'd have some of my questions about them answered.
I'm also kind of disappointed that this is a series, and not just one book..
I just really hope this will be a two book series at least, and not a three book one.

description
James (Resisting Love, #3) - Chantal Fernando Awnn, this story was really sweet.

description

This book had everything going on. Great couple, great chemistry, great story line.
I loved pretty much every thing about it except one minor detail.
Every time there was a little drama, it just got fixed so, SO quickly.
Every single time, nothing really happened, so you didn't really get the 'Omg, what's going to happen' feeling in this book.
Things just got resolve really easily.
But apart from that, amazing book, just like all the rest of them.

description

Can't wait for Derek's Story!
